Video: Lotus Bowl – CNC Woodworking
In this video I show how I made my new Lotus Bowl. I was inspired by the lotus flower, and wanted to create a shape that would have lots of overlapping features.
The first bowl is madrone wood with purple epoxy tips.
I machined it out on my Tormach PCNC 1100 — although their 24R CNC router would be a better choice for a project like this. Eventually I hope to get a larger CNC machine, as this shape would look awesome in a larger salad-bowl like size.
