Spalted Oak Blue River Box

Woodworking

IMG 3666

I’m really excited how this box turned out. The top and sides have some blue tinted epoxy to generate a river that flows around the box. Made from spalted oak that fell down from natural causes, and another black oak tree that fell down during a storm. Black Diamond Pigments were used to tint the epoxy. The box is finished with Osmo oil, to give it a natural satin look. Solid brass hinges. Available for purchase over on my shop: Blue Waterfall Box – Redwood Monkey Workshop.
