Plug Bug: VW Transmission Disassembly (DIY Complete “Tutorial”)
I had a request to post a video of my VW transmission disassembly process. I’m by no means an expert, but I’m hoping this might help some other people figure out how to do it. These are the complete steps and include removing the pinion gear (and gear carrier), but not taking the gear stack apart. I do have some footage of that somewhere; it also involves a press to get it apart and put it back together.
